Here is a science project idea. Children in primary school as 4th to 6 Classes would be able to do this and middles school 7th and 8 Class students. In this science project to determine what substance the acid in him to clean off the muddy coins.

Items required for the project:

• 8 cups

• 8 tarnished copper pennies

• tomato juice

• Lemon juice

• Vinegar

• Window cleaner

• A household cleaner how easy or green fantastic

• Ammonia

• Toothpaste

• Baking soda

• Paper towels

• Graphics paper

For this experiment will determine from the constant, which tarnished Copper Penny, the liquids or materials from the murky best.

Line your glasses in a row on a counter top. Make sure you are not using this space for something else. The best time to do this is in the evening, so you can soak overnight.

Fill pennies each cup with one of the ingredients. You should now have 8 cups with another substance in each. You do not need more than about 1 /8 cup of each ingredient. Use just enough for the penny to be under the liquid. For the toothpaste squeeze a little in the bottom of the cup and place the penny in the paste and then squeeze more on top of the coin.

For the soda mix a slight amount of water with the soda into a paste and go like with the toothpaste makes sure that the lower and upper edge of the penny falls with the glasses of liquid substance.

Let this night sitting in a room in the morning temperature.

In a paper towel before each cup. Remove every penny from the liquid was sit and gently rub and wipe the outside of the penny. Use a different paper towel for each coin.

After you have finished all eight make a visual observation. What does every cent? Also look at the paper towel to determine which one has the most murky on paper. Use your graph paper to record each substance and a bar chart shows how much each murky removed.

When you started, you should have a hypothesis about the substance would remove tarnish the best and why it would tarnish effective. Was your theory?

This science project is ideal for middle school or high school. It can even be achieved by a younger student in the 3rd or 4 Class. Make sure that your parents have with the help of chemicals pouring into the glasses and disposing of them. You can the wearing of gloves with the various chemicals.
